I am an observer and documenter.
Observations inspire my interest in relationships. We have multiple interactions of all sorts every day. From the brief passings in a grocery store to the interaction that are much deeper and personal. All of these interactions with people, places, and things form relationships, and these relationships leave their mark on us.
Just as we have interactions in our personal lives, art is based on interactions that form relationships between lines, colors, values, shapes, and so on. These relationships affect our viewing of the artwork and just as the personal interactions leave their mark, the relationships of these elements in art leave their mark as well.
Through sculpture and painting I document these interactions and the lasting impressions.
